The City is recovering this space for the use and enjoyment of the neighbors, which as reported by León, aims to be an area for the realization of leisure activities and free time, as well as being the festive venue, where more than 100 Peñas are located in the Patron Saint Festivities that take place in the month of October.
Likewise, León pointed out that there has been a roundabout for safe access to this space, and that in the previous plenary session it was agreed to call it "Rotonda de la Armada Española", recalling that the Radar was an old radio station of the Navy , a space known by all the neighbors;
that will keep the name of "Radar" but its acronyms will now correspond to the meaning of "Enclosure of Sports, Outdoor and Recreational Activities";
He has also informed that the Consistory's intention is to respect the image of the space, for which the sentry boxes, the old entrances of access, and the pavilions are conserved.
As reported by León, the actions that are being carried out to recover this space began at the beginning with the elimination of the fence to make it accessible and take the first step for what "aims to be a large area of ​​sports equipment, leisure and green zone. "
Also, a safe access has been made, expanding the avenue of Balsicas, providing it with lighting, and building a roundabout, being the definitive and safe access to RADAR, in addition, the entire facility is being cleaned, and electrical wiring is enabled.
The parties of Torre Pacheco begin shortly and on Thursday, October 4, the opening of the Peñas Campus, located in the vicinity of RADAR.
