The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and the President of the Association of Pensioners of Dolores de Pacheco, Teodoro Vera, have signed an agreement whereby they undertake to collaborate in the promotion of activities with the elderly in the town.
The object of the agreement is the granting of a subsidy for its program of activities, whose economic amount amounts to 3,700.- €.
In addition to this economic subsidy, from the Department of Social Services, collaborates with the Association through the organization of cultural and leisure activities, sports, health, and especially with management, information and advice on topics of interest to the greater.
The Association of Pensioners was created in 1982 and currently has about 350 members and a great and varied program of activities throughout the year.
The Mayor, accompanied by the Councilor for Social Services and Equality, Veronica Martinez, and the Pedáneo Mayor, Alberto Gutierrez after the signing of the agreement, have held a meeting with the board of directors of the Pensioners Club, to know first-hand their needs and demands .
