The Councilor of Celebrations, Yolanda Castaño has encouraged comparsas interested in participating in the parade to register before next February 28, taking into account that, to be part of the contest, must be a group of people of not less than 15 who perform the interpretation of a carnival musical show, with choreography, staging and costumes.
The Parade of Carnival of Torre Pacheco, after the success of the two previous years, is consolidated as the largest parade in the region.
Last year, more than 2,000 people paraded, surrounded by hundreds of neighbors who filled the streets of the town to enjoy what was a magnificent parade.
The III Contest-Parade of Carnival of Torre Pacheco, will take place on March 16 at 6:00 pm, in which more than 40 comparsas will parade, coming from all corners of the region, which will fill the streets for the third consecutive year. of the locality, of light, color, music and a lot of happiness.
A contest whose first prize for the best comparsa, will be endowed with 1,000 euros, a second prize of 500 euros and a third of 300 euros, distinguishing between local and foreign comparsa in all prizes.
In addition to the aforementioned Parade, the Carnival of Torre Pacheco begins next Saturday, March 9 at 9:30 p.m., at the Performing Arts Center with the election of D. Carnal and Dña. Lent and the performance of all the Dance Schools of the municipality, where the choreography and originality will be valued and on Sunday March 17 there will be a Chirigotas Contest, with the performance of the Robinsons of the Island, the Singuangos, and the Chochonis, in the Performing Arts Center at 6 the afternoon.
