Civil Protection teaches a basic life support course in traffic accidents (23/09/2019)

Last Saturday, the theoretical-practical course of "BASIC VITAL SUPPORT IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS" began in the Integral Security Center within the training program for this year 2019 that Civil Protection of Torre-Pacheco is intended for volunteers and professionals, jointly organized with the management of the 061 Region of Murcia.

The presentation and opening of the course was given by the Councilor for Emergencies, Juan Salvador Sánchez Saura, accompanied by Antonio Jesús Sanmartín Chief Coordinator of Civil Protection and Jesús Abrisqueta, Responsible for Training of Management of 061, and will be held during the 21st days, September 22 and 28.

Sánchez Saura once again highlighted the work of Civil Protection and the delivery of his volunteers, and conveyed his gratitude for the selfless dedication of his free time to training, always in favor of providing a better service to citizens, he also thanked To the professional instructors of the course José Manuel Montesinos, Mª José Otón, Israel Hidalgo and Jose Juan Oliver, their invaluable collaboration for the realization of this course.

Abrisqueta highlighted the level of professionals who teach the course, doctors and nurses of 061, emergency technicians and instructors SUV and DESA, with extensive experience in traffic accidents and encouraged students to take advantage of the experiences and skills that are will teach during the course.

During the first day the PAS behavior (Protect, Warn and Help) and CPR techniques have been explained and practiced, on the second day the nursing and immobilizations in traffic accidents have been treated.

The third day will be devoted to immobilizations and their techniques, as well as the material used.

The Civil Protection Coordinator, Antonio J. Sanmartín, announced that the course will end with a traffic accident rescue drill, which has been postponed to a later date, yet to be determined, due to the impossibility of having CEIS firefighters that provide their services in Los Alcázares due to the floods suffered on September 13.
