The Torre Pacheco City Council through the Youth Council has made a call for subsidies complementary to Erasmus scholarships for the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 courses, of which 24 university students registered in the municipality have been beneficiaries ; in statements of the Councilor for Equality and Youth Ver nica Mart nez "these grants are here to stay, as they are born with the vocation of enabling equal opportunities in training abroad for our young university students" . The investment that the City Council has made in these grants has been 11,000 euros, the individual financial aid that has been granted has been in proportion to the number of months of stay, the amount being 500 euros per student, if the stay is for the entire school year, or 250 euros per student, if the stay is for a semester. These grants have been called with "the objective of allowing pacheco students to benefit educationally and culturally from the learning experience in other European countries and contribute to the creation of a community of young people and future professionals.
