On Saturday September 17th, the Town Hall Square welcomed with great success of participation "Days for Intercultural Coexistence", organized by the Department of Social Services and Equality of the City of Torre-Pacheco, with the collaboration of laCaixa Social Work.
The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio Leon, and the Area Director of Caixa Bank, on behalf of Carlos Merelo Social Work, accompanied by members of the municipal corporation, proved the great work that associations and groups provide for the most vulnerable groups in our town.
The Workshop was attended by fifteen associations that showed the visiting public their activities and the services they provide, such as Welcomes Murcia Torre-Pacheco, CEPAIM Foundation, Caritas Torre-Pacheco, Abraham Project Association, Columbares Association, Association Rumiñahui Hispano Ecuatoriana, Community Sikh Torre-Pacheco, Scoutsmusulmanes of Spain and Intercultural Youth Association Gerardo Molina.
In addition, the Municipal Library of Torre-Pacheco, presented a bibliographic and reference works from different countries, taking to the streets and bringing neighbors the services provided.
The Sikh Torre-Pacheco community was of the most visited, and they offered tastings of typical products and Indian dishes.
Besides the public could enjoy the performances of folk group Aires of Colombia, Association Conquest Folkloric, Estate Association my land, Partnership Feel Boliviano, young flamenco dancer Antonio Muñoz, exhibition of hip hop and rap, by the Replay School and collective Kon Character Funky, encouraged the day, giving a touch of color and music.
