The difficult circumstances facing the sector of mechanical workshops, due to the existence of illegal workshops and individuals, has led to the creation of the Association of Talleres de Torre Pacheco, that from this moment is integrated into COEC.
This association has as one of its main objectives report to the competent authorities such as City Hall, Seprona and Labor Inspectorate, the illegal activities of those without proper license provide services in the sector.
"We pay taxes, we take care of waste collection helping to maintain the environment and guarantee our repairs, which the illegal workshops do not comply, which is a great disservice to the members of this association, which are mechanical workshops legally open to public, "says Felix Nieto, president of the newly formed association.
It also reported that these workshops "pollute the environment because the waste they produce leave them on public roads without control".
The Association of Workshops calls on the authorities to put an end to this situation, because "this laissez-faire attitude is creating a climate of anger and impotence among the guild workshops that could lead to events that never want happen ", they have admitted.
Finally, the president of the Association insists on the danger of the situation of unfair competition in the sector jobs in the area.
"I want to emphasize that our guild workshops of the municipality of Torre Pacheco holds about 200 jobs, of which many are being threatened because we have to contend with unfair competition with low prices that sometimes do not cover our expenses, "said the president.
In this situation, besides creating the Association of Workshops, they have decided to join the Regional Confederation of Organizations of Cartagena to solicit their support in achieving the defense of the legitimate interests of guild workshops.
