In the morning, the Councillor for Education, Youth, Employment and Training of the City of Torre Pacheco, Inmaculada C. Martinez Sanchez, together with the Director of the College of Education and Primary Our del Rosario, Torre-Pacheco, Begoña Fructuoso Ros, by the head of the Department of Road Safety Education, inaugurated the 2016-2017 School Driver Education Course.

The said act took place in the classroom of college in 3rd C, and students in that group were the protagonists of this simple act, moderated by the head of the Department of Road Safety Education, Salvador Martínez López.

Education Road is a project of the deepest in the Department of Public Safety of the City of Torre-Pacheco, because since the 2003-2004 course, without interruption, a project covering almost all of the school year unfolds .

The activities are aimed at students from 8 to 12 years old from 3rd to 6th of Primary Education, which receive three theoretical sessions in their respective classrooms, adapted to the age and course they do, working mostly in attitudes and behaviors, rather than skills and knowledge, but students perform a simple test on basic knowledge of rules of behavior as a pedestrian and Traveler, basics of the bicycle and driving it, and the basics of signaling.

Also, students as part of these theoretical teaching, doing work depending on the course they do, and a student of 3rd, you have to draw a picture of a person crossing a crosswalk, one 4th, has to work with a set 20 words related to road safety education, to expand vocabulary and knowledge on the bike, one 5th, has to make a drawing of a traffic environment, which should know locate the five groups of traffic signals;

6th and one has to make a demo, called "My people, my neighborhood."

Finally, from February, pupils transfer to the Children's Traffic Park Torre-Pacheco, where put into practice the lessons learned in their classrooms, and has opportunity to evolve as pedestrians, and driving both bicycles as karts there in the Children's Traffic Park.

In this course 2015-2016, involved 11 schools and Primary Education of the municipality of Torre Pacheco, with 91 different groups, from 3rd to 6th grade, and according to lists provided by the various participating schools in the project, will be 2,114 children beneficiaries of this project Road Safety Education.
