The regional government expresses its condolences for the death of five young people in the accident registered in Torre Pacheco (05/02/2017)

The Minister of the Presidency, María Dolores Pagán, expressed today the "most sincere and sincere condolences" of the regional government for the death of five young people who died last night in the accident happened on the road that links La Palma with Torre Pacheco.

The deceased are young people whose ages oscillate between 19 and 21 years, and neighbors of Torre Pacheco.

Pagán pointed out that the Community is in contact with the City Council "to offer assistance in what is deemed necessary" and is also available "to the families, both of the deceased and of the injured, to whom we wish a rapid and favorable".

The councilor, who moved to the town today, will attend tomorrow the joint funeral, which will take place from 11:00 am, in the Municipal Front of Torre Pacheco.

On the other hand, the Community showed its regret over the death of the driver of a truck in the accident recorded on the road linking Pliego with New Homes.

A call was received on the Telephone 1-1-2 at 3:42 am warning of this accident.

In the event, firemen from the Consortium for Fire Extinguishing and Rescue of the Region of Murcia (CEIS), sanitarians, as well as Guardia Civil intervened.

The Community has also contacted the mayor of Pliego, Ramona Jiménez, to make themselves available to the family and the City Council in what they consider necessary.
