The first aid involves acting with immediacy in the place where events occur of these characteristics, providing assistance that on many occasions sustains and saves lives while waiting for a specialized performance.
Nurse and basic life support instructors (SVB) belonging to the Civil Protection Volunteer Group of the Torre-Pacheco City Council, are in charge of carrying out this training, at the Citizen Safety Center, to IES Gerardo Molina students.
The main objective of the training talks in First Aid is to provide young people with the most basic knowledge to be able to offer effective help to people who are in an emergency situation, either by accident or illness, in order to face those decisive First minutes with maximum security.
Participants gain knowledge in:
- Conduct PAS (Protect, Alert and Rescue).
In short, guidelines that have been established and must be followed, always in that order when we are in an emergency situation with one or more injured people who need specialized healthcare.
- Basic CPR.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation or basic CPR is a first aid technique that can help keep someone alive in the event of an accident long enough for emergency help to arrive.
- What should be done before a choking, burns, injuries, are other knowledge acquired, and of course, the importance of 112, since it is the most immediate assistance possible to the demands of citizens throughout the country .
"It is fundamental that our young people have a basic knowledge in this matter, and that they know how to respond and provide coverage in accidents and sudden illnesses, acting with immediacy in certain situations can save lives," said the Councilor for Public Safety Juan Salvador Sánchez.
