About thirty families in Torre Pacheco benefit directly from the subsidies for renovation and rehabilitation of housing and urban regeneration, which have an investment close to half a million euros.
The director general of Planning, Architecture and Housing, Nuria Fuentes, visited this morning the work of the Urban Regeneration and Renovation Area (ARRU) of Torre Pacheco, together with the mayor of the town, Antonio Leon.
The actions carried out consist of the rehabilitation of about thirty homes located in the neighborhood of the ARRU defined by the City Council, which includes the areas of Los Ruices, the town center, houses of Paco Jiménez, San Antonio and Los Albadalejo.
In the houses have been fixed covers and renovated the joinery of doors and windows.
In addition, the consistory will carry out urbanization works in the area.
Nuria Fuentes emphasized the importance of these works "which in addition to greatly improving the lives of residents living in these homes, generate jobs related to construction in the municipalities where they are carried out."
The ARRU that runs in Torre Pacheco corresponds to the Housing Plan 2013-2016, and involves an investment of 472,000 euros, financed by the Autonomous Community, the Ministry of Development and the City.
With these grants citizens can face almost 50% of the total cost of rehabilitation works, with a maximum amount of 14,850 euros;
While in the reconstruction works subsidizes up to 35 percent of the cost, with a maximum of 30,000 euros per dwelling.
