The Sports Department organizes for the second consecutive year and after the success of the last edition, the 2nd Torre-Pacheco Sports Fair 2017, "Practice sports, feel alive";
with the collaboration of sports clubs and associations linked to sport in the municipality of Torre-Pacheco.
The objective of this Fair is to promote sports and give visibility to all clubs and associations of the municipality, counting with all sports agents, users and neighbors, in a sports-recreational meeting, which will be located in addition to Vicente Square Antón, plaza of the new City Hall and plaza of the old Town Hall, in municipal facilities where a triangular football will be held, a national rhythmic gymnastics turner, as well as a familiar skating route.
For the Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León, what is intended "is that the Sports Fair serves to make known among the residents of the municipality the wide range of sports activities that can be practiced in municipal facilities and in all the sports clubs of our town, which do fantastic work throughout the year to promote grassroots sports and competition. "
This project comes from the Department of Sports of the City of Torre-Pacheco, being "one of the most important events that are organized from this council," said the sports coordinator, Rafael Alcázar, "being an information and advertising platform, for that all clubs and associations can exhibit and exhibit their disciplines, for the knowledge of all citizens "and that this year has as a novelty the realization of two days, one on Saturday 18 and another on Sunday 19, where a march has been organized of hiking and BTT, which will connect Torre-Pacheco with Cabezo Gordo.
An extensive and complete program focused on enjoying a weekend as attractive as possible for the visitor.
A day where clubs and local entities are going to organize themselves in a meeting and entertainment space so that adults and children can fully enjoy the programmed activities and pursue educational, playful, recreational and social purposes, through the sports practice
The vast majority of sports that can be practiced throughout the year will be represented throughout the municipality: Football, cycling, golf, indoor football, taekwondo, boxing, basketball, airsoft, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, model airplanes, swimming, racquetball, athletics, handball, mountain-bike, boxing, bowling, etc.
A total of 24 sports clubs and associations will participate;
in addition to Radio Torre-Pacheco that will entertain the morning and interview the representatives of each club and / or association to expand their information.
