The Department of Sports has organized for the second year in a row and in collaboration with sports clubs and associations linked to sport in the municipality of Torre-Pacheco, the "II Torre-Pacheco Sports Fair 2017".

A day in which all sports agents, users and neighbors participated in a sports-recreational meeting, offering a unique opportunity to know and promote the base and competition sports.

The clubs and local entities created a meeting and entertainment space in which big and small, enjoyed the most of the programmed activities, achieving educational, recreational, social and recreational purposes, through sports practice.

The squares of the center of the town hosted most of the sports that can be practiced throughout the year throughout the municipality: Football, cycling, indoor football, taekwondo, boxing, basketball, airsoft, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, model airplanes, swimming, frontenis, athletics, handball, automodelismo, mountain-bike, colombicultura, calisthenics, trial, boxing, bowling, sports clubs, etc. A total of 26 clubs and sports associations participated, in addition to the collaboration of companies, donating prizes and gifts.

Radio Torre-Pacheco entertained the whole morning with music and live interviews to the representatives of each club and / or association, promoting the basic sport of our municipality.

The General Director of Sports, Alonso Gómez visited the Fair, taking advantage of the occasion to greet the participating clubs, and being interested in the reality of each of them, encouraging them to continue working in the line they develop.

Likewise, the Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio Leon thanked the great work of the clubs and associations of our municipality, which have a wide range of sports activities, which give the opportunity for children and youth to play sports in our town , not having to move;

and that make Torre-Pacheco, is at the highest level nationally and internationally in various disciplines.
