The City Council of Torre-Pacheco has begun the contracting, in modality of renting, of four vehicles to renew and maintain adequately the mobile park of the Local Police during the next four years, with a bid price that is around 187,000.00 euros
The new vehicles will replace others that, in some cases, exceed 500,000 km with an age between 10 and 15 years;
With the new acquisitions, CO2 emissions will be reduced as well as maintenance costs for the consistory.
The minimum conditions that the contractor of the contract will have to fulfill for each vehicle will be an annual mileage of 50,000 km, integral maintenance of the same with the repair and replacement of parts if necessary, as well as having a comprehensive insurance without franchise.
Interested companies may submit their bids until March 8 and may consult the bidding documents in the Contracting Profile of the municipal website www.torrepacheco.es.
The lease period will be 48 months from the delivery of the vehicles.
The supply must be made within a maximum of 45 days once the contract has been formalized.
The registration and the municipal tax on vehicles of mechanical traction will be borne by the winning company.
According to Juan Salvador Sánchez, councilor for Citizen Security, "it is a priority since we arrived at the municipal government, and now that the economic data allow it, that Local Police have the adequate means to carry out their work in decent conditions.
