The Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Francisco Jódar, today visited the facilities of the cooperative society Gregal, in Torre Pacheco, one of the one hundred organizations of producers in the region, which began its journey in the seventies with six partners and that currently has 130.
The counselor highlighted the "good management" of this cooperative and its "exemplary character in terms of production, since it seeks to offer the best product at the best price and with the best growing conditions: low fertilization and scarce use of phytosanitary products".
He also highlighted the cooperative's commitment to sustainability and research, which translates into its collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
For all these reasons, he concluded by noting that "it is a representative model of today's cutting-edge agriculture, highly technified, with very professional people who know how to get the most out of every drop of water".
