This morning in the hall of the Municipal Institute for Social Action Services (IMSAS) has signed a Cooperation Agreement between the City Council IMSAS Torre-Pacheco and the Association of Parents of Hearing Impaired Children (swipe).
The Partnership is engaged, through its Rehabilitation Center Prince of Asturias, rehabilitation and diagnosis of people with voice, speech, language and hearing, in short, everything that includes speech therapy discipline.
It also makes treating children with psychomotor delay and educational psychology.
It also provides rehabilitation to adults who have been left speechless by different causes: surgery of the larynx (laryngectomy), post stroke sequelae (brain damage, aphasia), dysphonia, and so on.
The purpose of this Agreement is joint collaboration between the Municipal Institute for Social Action Services and the Association of Parents of Hearing Impaired Children (swipe) to carry out actions that promote social inclusion and integration of people with impairments hearing in the municipality of Torre Pacheco, and the general public awareness about the problems of any kind arising from deafness.
To this end the City of Torre Pacheco transferred to the Association the amount of 1,350 €.
