The City Council meets Torre-Pacheco 176 years (18/09/2012)

Torre-Pacheco had his first City Council after achieving two brief periods of government not considered official.

The September 17, 1836, date on which it is definitely under the chairmanship of its first Mayor, D.

Mariano Iniesta, being reflected well in the first report prepared for the purpose, in our Archive obrante Municipal, whose title literally says:

"Installation of the City.

Constitution of the town of Torre Pacheco, on September 17 of 1836. "

The initial agreement reached the day after its formation, as evidenced by such municipal archives, was to urge the Honorable Provincial de Murcia, funds to support spending on necessities.

Torre-Pacheco, at that time, was a small town, being territorial demarcation covering their local government, their parish, a small village of 48 houses, forming the body of a street population, maybe two, a large cistern that collected rain waters and supplied the neighborhood, and a discreet scattering of hamlets located in the countryside, who came to the core, the parish, to pick up some groceries and farm tools and religious holidays, perhaps only event that could bring residents of the parish and the peasants of the village.

From then until now, there have been many municipalities that have happened over almost two centuries.

Last year, commemorating the 175th anniversary of the creation of our City, there were several acts charged social and institutional significance, intimate and solemn sense in turn, as they have been among them: the recovery of its bell tower, the opening of our new City Hall and the Central Security Integral Torre-Pacheco, the Oath Act of the Spanish flag, the celebration of the act of the Day of the Region of Murcia in the unique context of the Performing Arts Center , the Institutional Act of appreciation to all the local governments occurred in the Municipal Government held specifically on September 17, 2011, 175 years after a September 17, 1836 shall be dated this creation in the first and oldest Chapter Act that retain our Municipal Archives.

Or as a special thank you message and exaltation to the work of our groups and associations, with completion of this annuity commemorative celebration of the intimate act of recognition of those who accumulated over 20 years of age, experience and ongoing efforts for progress the municipality.

Finally, after the conclusion of these events, last May showed graphic publication "175th anniversary of the City of Torre-Pacheco", which brings together and summarizes the history and images most significant aspect of our town.
