The Canadian private foundation, Maytree, located at the forefront on issues of diversity and urban prosperity has highlighted the short film festival for Integration "Andoenredando" Torre-Pacheco as a "good idea" for the integration noting that this festival highlights the diversity Torre-Pacheco.
Andoenredando Festival is the only event in the Region of Murcia which is specialized in a social theme in any areas (immigration, equality, development, disability, poverty, human rights, etc..).
The aim of this festival is to promote cultural diversity by broadcasting short films and documentaries with social content and promote young filmmakers who bet on a film genre committed to the society in which we live.
Through Cities of Migration, Maytree Foundation collaborates with an international group of partners from UK, Europe and New Zealand, and gets ample advice from senior government officials, organizations dedicated to migration and NGOs active in Canada, U.S.
and internationally, to ensure applicability and relevance.
These partnerships also serve to strengthen the coalition of private foundations working in the speed of the integration of urban migrants both in their home countries and internationally.
Cities of Migration Practice shows integration of urban migrants and promotes ideas that create equity, social cohesion and urban prosperity.
Andoenredando The project has been featured in one of the publications of Cities of Migration, the foundation, convinced of the key role played by municipalities in the field of management of cultural diversity, collected in a series of publications called Good ideas of cities winners, international Practice immigrant integration policy in cities in Canada, USA, Europe and Australasia.
