More than 1,500 people attended last Sunday in solidarity food to benefit Manos Unidas held at the fairgrounds in Torre Pacheco (IFEPA).
According to the Vicar of the area of ​​Campo de Cartagena, José León, it managed to raise 19,000 euros, including meal tickets, 10 euros per person, and vouchers for the draw held later.
The food was made through donations from individuals, companies and associations, so all proceeds will go entirely to Manos Unidas.
The parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Torre Pacheco was the organizer of the food involved in the different parishes in the area, "every priest came with a large number of his parishioners," says José León.
More than 100 volunteers from Manos Unidas, of all ages, were commissioned to serve tables and attend to the guests, including the diocesan president of United Hands were, Da Marta Martinez, CEO of Social Policy, D. Leopoldo Navarro, and the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel D. Garcia, accompanied by members of the municipal corporation.
