The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid with several town councilors of Torre-Pacheco closed yesterday at the Social Center pachequera hamlet of Los Meroños the fifth edition of the Self-Defense Workshops, thanks to the initiative of the Department of Sports, in collaboration with the Department of Equality and the local police.
This year we have organized two workshops, one in the hamlet of Los Meroños which involved more than 20 women and one in balsicas, led a group of 10. The course consisted of 12 hours.
The objective of this training was to prepare users to deal with situations that may occur in real life and show strong psychologically, recognizing danger signs when they perform their daily life, and to prevent situations of violence.
In addition, the workshop has provided users also other beneficial as: stress management, flexibility, coordination, peace, relaxation, fitness, strength, safety, increased self-esteem and character building.
