The president of the Community, Alberto Garre, today attended the luncheon in Torre Pacheco in commemoration of Day of the ONCE 'in the Region of Murcia.
The ceremony was also attended by the President of the General Council of the ONCE, Miguel Carballeda, as well as the president of the Territorial Council and the territorial delegate ONCE in the Region of Murcia, and Juan Carlos Lajarín Teresa Morejon de Giron, and the mayor of the municipality, Daniel García Madrid.
In his speech before the nearly 400 participants met this celebration, President Garre acknowledged the work undertaken by the organization as "an essential for those who are members and their families to support," noting, also, "the example of improvement and success "featuring" Day after day the whole society Murcia ".
He recalled that ONCE is it integrated in the Region of Murcia 2,500 visually impaired, of which employs 1,500 of them.
ONCE Day is commemorated each year traveling by different localities in the region.
The celebration this year in Torre Pacheco happens to that previously took place in Abarán, Albujón (Cartagena) and Jumilla.
