The Center for Performing Arts in Torre-Pacheco will take the name of Philip VI (27/06/2014)

The full City Council yesterday agreed Torre-Pacheco name the Performing Arts Center (ASRC) and "Performing Arts Center Philip VI" being a landmark building of the municipality and to recognize the commitment of the vast majority of pachequeros and pachequeras with the new reign as could be seen in the New Town Hall Square on the day of oath and proclamation of the King of Spain, Philip VI, in which many residents attended the ceremony held by the new monarch.

The Performing Arts Center, is a landmark building with a contemporary structure built 4.000m2, surface highlighting its innovative architectural language.

It has been designed to accommodate all cultural and artistic events that take part in this municipality as theater, dance, music or movies.

It has an auditorium of 600 seats.

It was inaugurated on September 16, 2006, the first of the region covered auditorium.

What he have paraded the likes of Raphael, Jose Sacristan, Juan Echanove, Ariel Rot, Nati Mistral and Maria Dolores Pradera, among others.

Its architects were Francisco Sola, Francisco Carlos Brugarolas and Cavas.

Similarly, in the plenary session agreed that local holidays 2015 are October 7, Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (patron of Torre-Pacheco) and 6 April, Easter Monday.
