The Socialist Group will vote in Juan Salvador Sanchez on Saturday (12/06/2015)

This has been decided PSOE militants Torre Pacheco at the Special Meeting held on Thursday night at the headquarters of the Socialist Group.

After several weeks in which the Socialists have maintained contacts with all political forces in the municipality, it has not been possible to reach agreement on governance and exchange with other groups represented in the new session.

The Socialists, who got 2401 votes and 4 councilmen in elections last May 24, did get more than a week ago a proposal in accordance with other political parties with the intention of forming an alternative government to the Popular Party.

The Independent Party, meanwhile, second force, which during the days following the elections expressed his decision to govern the voted list, asked last week to all groups-including the PP vote for their candidate but without establishing any political and governance agreement, a condition that has not been accepted by the Socialists to understand that it does not guarantee the implementation of policies and real exchange left, condemning the governance of the municipality to a strategy of post-electoral pacts which can lead people to deadlock and setback that do not benefit the residents.

For Juan Salvador Sanchez, Secretary General of the PSOE in Torre Pacheco and candidate for mayor, "the PSOE has done everything in their power to reach an agreement."

Sanchez Saura, last Wednesday requested a meeting independent candidate Antonio Leon to try to open a channel of negotiation for an agreement of government, has acknowledged that "have not reached a proposed settlement firm on any key issue by the Independent Party, beyond the exchange of vows on 13 and showing a willingness to make compromises in the future. "

"Our commitment to the voters before, during, and after elections was to reach an agreement with all political parties except the PP that would implement policies for progress and commitment to the people in Torre Pacheco.

We have not changed my mind, or change in the future, "said Sanchez, who stressed that now more than ever the new team of councilors must work to move forward, despite the conservative majority in Parliament, initiatives to improve the quality of life for residents and give a social and defense of the public policies of the City impulse.
