The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio Leon Garre and the Councillor for Citizen Security, Juan Salvador Sanchez Saura, have made their first official visit to the Government Delegate in Murcia, D. Antonio Sanchez-Solis Querol.
The meeting served as an introduction of the new municipal government to the highest authority of the State in the Region of Murcia, being clear the mind and will of maximum collaboration between the two administrations.
Among the issues that have been treated stands, above all, public safety as a major concern for residents of Torre-Pacheco.
The large area of ​​the municipality as well as the large number of farms, greatly hinder the work of the Civil Guard and local police.
The collaboration between the two bodies and more funding in 2016 will increase the presence and prevention work, accompanied by specific actions with obvious results.
The Plan of modernization of irrigation and agricultural infrastructure of the Ministry of Agriculture as well as the request for cooperation on civil protection, both for the training of volunteers as a future professionalization of human resources, has also had the pleasure of Mr. Government Delegate for effective collaboration.
The serious problem of the Ramblas, very important in the city Torre-Pacheco and competence of the Segura basin, has also been exposed to the Delegate Minister, informing him of the new situation that has been created in the village of Roldan and the urgent management in basin organization to prevent possible risks.
