The Department of Women in collaboration with the Youth Council of Torre-Pacheco, organized a workshop that is included within the 2009 Municipal Programming held to commemorate the November 25 International Day for the Elimination of Gender Violence. "
The workshop for 20 monitors leisure and aims for the awareness of the population of the municipality of Torre Pacheco, dissemination of municipal services for the care of women victims of violence, to inform the general population of the phenomenon gender violence, to train professionals (instructors of leisure in the promotion of equal opportunities and preventing violence against women, providing the necessary resources to address these situations, educate the female population of the municipality personal self-defense and promote social participation of the population in the prevention of violence against women).
This workshop took place on Saturday 14 November at the Civic Center Torre-Pacheco.
