The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, accompanied by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, today introduced the sixteenth edition of the Trinity and Berebiscos celebrations to be held in the municipality of 4 to 6 June.
Garcia said that "it is necessary to keep alive the tradition and excitement of the people, that people remember their origins, how they got here through its history," adding that "from the Directorate General of Tourism is always going to support this kinds of parties. "
The Trinity-Berber parties were born in 1996 at the initiative of José Miguel Rodríguez, a historian and researcher at the Villa de Torre Pacheco.
The events recall the dreaded Barbary raids that struck the shores of the Mar Menor and the Campo de Cartagena over the centuries XV, XVI and XVII and hindered the settlement of this area.
The celebrations begin next Friday, June 4 at 19:00 pm with the opening of the medieval market.
Will be followed by a parade and 22:00 hours will be held the opening of the market with musicians, stilt walkers and performers.
At 23:00 hours superclub opens installed in the festive tent and 02:00 am in the morning will take place on the market closes.
The sessions on Saturday, June 5, starts at 11:00 am with the opening of the medieval market.
At 21:30 am a parade will take place Trinitarian Berber 23:00 hours and reopen the club until it closed at 02:00 am.
Finally, on Sunday 6 will be held on the last day of the holidays, with the medieval market opening at 11:00 am.
