2,155 students from 95 groups of primary schools in the municipality, have participated in the Road Safety Course 2017-2018, organized by the Department of Public Safety through the Department of Road Safety Education.
The act chaired by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León accompanied by the Provincial Traffic Chief, Virginia Jerez, the Councilor for Public Safety, Juan Salvador Sánchez, and the Local Police and responsible for the Road Safety Education Program, Salvador Martínez, in addition to Members of the Municipal Corporation, collaborating companies, and of course, teachers and students participating in the program, took place on Monday June 18.
The Mayor thanked the participation of the educational centers, valuing the involvement of teachers and students.
In addition, he had words of thanks for the collaborating companies, which have sponsored the awards ceremony.
The winners took a laptop, a bicycle, a Tablet, a television, and a smartphone, there were also prizes for the best students and volunteers and collaborators, who took a helmet home.
This act is the result of work done during the school year, both in the classroom and in the traffic park, where children have learned the values ​​of a good pedestrian, to be responsible citizens and respectful of the rules in general and specifically with traffic regulations.
A great job that aims to train those who will be the citizens of the future.
