The Autonomous Community of Murcia has initiated the annual campaign of vaccination of rabies in domestic animals, coordinated by the Official College of Veterinarians of Murcia.
In the Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) was published on 07-11-2017 the joint order of the Ministries of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, and Health to initiate the annual campaign of vaccination in animals for the eradication and control of rabies in animals and prevention of risks to public health.
Vaccination is compulsory in dogs and ferrets of three and a half months of age and for cats of five months, in reference to their first dose, in addition, a revaccination should be made to adult animals.
Owners of domestic animals must go to collegiate veterinarians to administer the vaccine, or to other facilities authorized for that purpose.
In order to facilitate the vaccination of dogs, cats and ferrets, especially in rural areas initially lacking clinics and specialized veterinary clinics, has been established on Friday July 20 at the Senior Center of San Cayetano, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm , and at the Civic Center of Dolores de Pacheco, from 8:15 pm to 9:00 pm
