Sanchez said that "the municipal government has made a very important budgetary effort stating that, in addition to the aforementioned vehicles, a few weeks ago has been equipped with bulletproof vests to all the staff" and noted that "we will continue to provide more and better means to make police work more effective and effective, which will considerably improve service to citizens, since security is a priority for this government team. "
In addition, Sanchez reported that "the 4 new vehicles (2 Ford Kuga and 2 Kia Ceed) represent the renewal of 50% of the patrol vehicles that are currently in place and will replace other ones that total 1,700,000 km and have between 11 and 18 years of service, which means very high maintenance costs and low services for the service ".
The new vehicles are equipped with the latest signage and lighting technologies as well as the DESA defibrillator and first aid kit.
The monthly amount of the leases amounts to 3,533.00 euros (VAT included) for a period of four years.
"We continue to comply with commitments to improve the provision of material resources to the Local Police Corps," Sanchez said, "as we improve the economic situation of the City Council, prioritizing the safety of workers and attention to citizens."
