Last May, the Torre Pacheco City Council began the promotion and dissemination of the "Si-Si Joven" Training Project, which had several training programs for young people under thirty enrolled in the Youth Guarantee system.

From the first moment, the session opted for a program that allowed to offer an opportunity to youth, unjustly qualified as Ni-Ni, taking all the necessary steps to achieve these courses.

In this sense, an insistent promotion campaign was launched through different channels, led by the dissemination through social networks, and even generalist and musical radio stations of the Region of Murcia, as well as collaboration with entities such as the Service of Employment and Training and associations of the sector.

Likewise, the appropriate procedures were carried out to offer the resources defined in the project, with a great administrative and advisory work to the young people, which included negotiations with collaborating companies for the execution of the practices, authorization of municipal spaces for the development of the courses and individualized and group tutoring with young people, among others.

However, a step from the beginning of the courses and after checking the effective demand with the enrolled students, this City Council did not have sufficient guarantees that the objectives for obtaining the subsidy, quantified by the number of students who complete the training and that in addition they are incorporated to the labor world, they could be fulfilled.

Faced with this situation, it has opted for the rejection, considering the most sensible alternative, more responsible and less burdensome to the general interests, which would suppose an economic cost too high and disproportionate.

In this way, the City Council will not have to return any economic amount, since to date no amount has yet been received in this concept.

With regard to the young people who had taken an interest in the courses, the municipal training and youth services, which have never stopped contacting them, have offered them other personalized alternatives, taking advantage of the fact that the school year will soon start and with it, new training offers that can be incorporated.
