Lucas Martínez "El Tío Lucas", a native of Dolores, and one of the longest-lived neighbors, was in charge of proclaiming the Fiestas de Dolores, last Friday, September 7;
prelude of a weekend full of activities and that had the galas of election and coronation of Ladies and Queens of the Holidays, in addition to the chupinazo that officially began the festivities.
Acts in which the Festival Commission, together with the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, the Councilor of Fiestas, Yolanda Castaño, as well as members of the Municipal Corporation, accompanied the residents of Dolores de Pacheco, in the acts and activities of his Patron Saint Festivities.
An extensive program where every day is a celebration, for children, young people, the elderly, ... and that the next weekend celebrates its big day, with the acts of celebration of the "Day of the Patron", the Offering Floral, Pilgrimage and Mass Huertana, and the traditional solemn Procession in which all the people accompany the Virgin.
The Castle of Fireworks that announces the end of parties, will be on Sunday September 16, although the festivities will continue with the celebration of the Rociera Pilgrimage on Sunday, September 30, since it had to be suspended, for meteorological reasons.
