The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León Garre and the Councilor for Urban Planning, Agriculture and the Environment, visited the new President of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura, Mario Urrea Mallabrera, to send him the main problems of the municipality of Torre Pacheco in terms of waters
The risk of torrential rains makes evident the orographic alterations made in other municipalities and that generate new water courses, unknown until now, as in Roldán or the San Antonio neighborhood.
The municipal representatives have transferred to the basin organization their concern about the lack of control of these changes in rustic lands, largely due to the floods suffered in December 2016.
Every year the City Council demands from the CHS the cleaning of ravines and riverbeds, in order to minimize possible damage due to episodes of cold drop.
The meeting held has also served to establish lines of collaboration between the two administrations and carry out joint actions.
