The socialist councilor announced through social networks that today, Wednesday 10 October, has formalized his candidacy before the Organizing Committee to participate in the PSOE primary process of Torre Pacheco that will elect the Socialist candidate to the Mayor.
In an open letter to his neighbors, the councilor has explained the reasons that led him to make this decision.
López pointed out that "4 years ago the socialists of Torre Pacheco started a path, together with many people, to turn our people around and change a situation that was becoming untenable", referring to the 12 years of the Popular Party's administration "
López points out in his letter that "three years after the formation of the Government of Change, Torre Pacheco begins to wake up, and the improvement in the economic situation will allow us to build a future project for our people, a project that does not leave anyone behind, that does not sink its roots in the great buildings, nor in the pharaonic works, but in the problems of the common people, of our neighborhoods, of all the districts ". The councilor has pointed out in the same way that" the local politics must also be understanding between different, putting in value what unites us ".
According to López, "we have shown that we can reach agreements, and that when the interests of a people are above all there are no cracks, only work and more work", referring to the government agreement currently managed by the City Council.
López also affirms that what is at stake in May is deciding between "returning to the past, to debt, to waste, to disorder, to closed offices, to pharaonic works" or to look to the future "with a Torre Pacheco more fair, more supportive, with a Town Hall close to its neighbors, without debts or mortgages, and devoted to solving the problems of ordinary people.
