The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Conchi Martínez, the Councilor for Social Services and Equality, Verónica Martínez, the President of the Cooperativa de Enseñanza Virgen del Pasico, José Angel Pedreño, the Director of the Center for Pasico II Concerted Teaching, María Salmerón, together with the Local Police Agent in charge of the Department of Road Safety Education, Salvador Martínez, have been in charge of making the opening ceremony of the School Road Education Course 2018-2019, in the 3rd A classroom of the CEC Pasico II.
With this act, the theoretical classes of the aforementioned School Course are started, which take place in the classrooms of the 11 educational centers of the municipality of Torre Pacheco, which are aimed at 98 groups of students, from 3rd to 6th grade. Primary Education, being a total of more than 2,200 students, who will receive the talks established in the Program, and will carry out activities within their classrooms until February 19, 2019, date on which the theoretical phase will be closed and a few days then, the practical phase will begin in the Traffic Pacheco Children's Park, located in the back of the Integral Security Center.
The theoretical classes that are carried out with the students, are composed in the first session with the presentation of the project, a talk-colloquium on the importance of the Road Education, and the realization of the pre-test (Test of Initial Evaluation);
In the second session, students according to age and level, receive an exhibition of contents based on rules of behavior such as pedestrian and traveler, rules of behavior on bicycle driving, and a study of said vehicle, signaling, etc., also they are shown a cartoon film related to said contents, and they are taught to look for content using a tool as current as the Internet, they are also assigned a job that they must deliver in the next session;
and finally, the third and final session, will consist of the delivery of the work commissioned in the previous session, and the completion of the post-test (Final Evaluation Test).
