80 people participated last Sunday, October 28, in the 1st solidary hiking route, organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Torre Pacheco, in order to prepare those interested to participate in the X Route of the Fortresses, crossing of mountain that will take place in the month of April next year in Cartagena.
This first route, made under the supervision of the sports technicians, had a total of 80 people, divided into two groups, who made 17 kilometers, with a route between the Heroes de Cavite Square in Cartagena to Lo Campano, passing through El Castillo of Los Moros and Sierra Gorda.
A tour that the first group made in 2 hours and 25 minutes, and that the last ones arrived in 3 hours and 55 minutes, accompanied at all times by the sports technicians, who were at all times pending of the participants, of the ground and any incidence that may occur.
The councilman of Sports, Raul Lledó has valued in a very positive way this first route, highlighting the great welcome by the residents of Torre Pacheco, and congratulating the sports technicians for the work done, both in the organization of the activity, and During the development of the day, a great job that made it possible for this 1st route to be a success.
He also highlighted the support of Civil Protection Torre Pacheco, who accompanied the group and was pending any incident.
Lledó also pointed out the solidary nature of the participants, for their contribution of non-perishable food that will be distributed by Cáritas Torre Pacheco, and that have amounted to 60 liters of cleaning products, 60 liters of milk and 250 kilos of food, great initiative and great response that has been valued very positively by Cáritas Torre Pacheco.
The second route will be next November 25th with a tour between Calvario and San Julián, prior registration and with the contribution of non-perishable food for Cáritas, Torre Pacheco.
There will be free buses and participants will have a card to prove the completion of all stages.
