The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation, attends the cemetery of Torre Pacheco, at the ceremony that, as every year, the General Air Academy dedicates to the memory of the deceased AGA military in action of service, on the occasion of the Day of the Fallen for the Fatherland.
Colonel Miguel Ivorra, director of the AGA, has presided over the ceremony, held in the space that the Academy has in the cemetery of Torre Pacheco, to that act have attended various military commands, as well as the music band of the academy, and members of the association of the Ladies of Loreto.
"A day of remembrance to honor the fallen in the Spanish aviation" commented Ivorra, reiterating the "pride of keeping that memory alive".
In addition, León recalled the link that maintains the municipality of Torre Pacheco with military aviation, which dates back to 1915, date in which the base of hydroplanes was created in the Alcázares, a municipality that belonged to the term of Torre Pacheco.
Being in 1932 and the absence of a cemetery in Los Alcázares, when the aviation made a pantheon of the air army in the Parochial Cemetery of Torre Pacheco.
The chaplain has officiated a response in which he recalled the deceased soldiers of the Air Force in an act that has begun with the raising of the flag, the placement of the laurel wreath, by Colonel Miguel Ivorra and the mayor of Torre Pacheco , Antonio León, in the cross that presides over the enclosure, and ending with the anthem of the Air Force.
