On Friday morning, November 9, the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, and the Councilor for Social Services and Equality, Verónica Martínez, held a meeting with the board of directors of the Association of Pensioners of San Cayetano, in the headquarters of the Association.
The Mayor and the President of the Association, Miguel Jiménez Avilés, have signed an agreement whereby they commit themselves to collaborate in the promotion of activities with the elderly in the locality.
The purpose of this agreement is the granting of a nominative grant for the maintenance of the activities of the Association of Pensioners of San Cayetano, with an economic contribution amounting to 1,400.- €.
In addition to this economic subsidy, from the Department of Social Services, collaborates with the Association through the organization of cultural and leisure activities, sports, health, and especially with management, information and advice on topics of interest to the greater.
The Local Association of Pensioners of San Cayetano, was founded in 1984, and currently has 150 members.
