The IES Luis Manzanares of Torre Pacheco and the Gymnasium Nige Institute of Esens, Germany carry out an exchange in which 60 students participate.
A total of 30 young people accompanied by 2 teachers meet exchange with young people from Torre Pacheco.
The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation has welcomed the young people and their professors, in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall.
The IES Luis Manzanares has been carrying out exchanges with this center for several years, since in the German center the young people study Spanish and in the center of Torre Pacheco there is the elective of German, this being the eighth exchange that takes place, just as commented, Olvido Carretero, professor responsible for the IES Luis Manzanares.
The locality of Esens belongs to the state Niedersachsen, to the county Weser-Ems and to the district Wittmund, and is in the north western zone of Lower Saxony, Germany.
The group of young people arrived yesterday at the municipality of Torre Pacheco, and return to their country next Monday.
Among the planned program are also family stays, cultural and tourist visits to the municipality of Torre Pacheco, Cartagena, Murcia, the General Air Academy in San Javier, as well as the Descent of Segura and multi-adventure activities in Cieza.
A very complete program, which highlights the coexistence of young people and family, and the fact of knowing our culture in the most effective way, with coexistence.
The students of Torre Pacheco, will travel to Esens, Germany from June 13 to 22 of next year.
