One more year, the City Council of Torre Pacheco, through the Department of Tourism, organizes the Information Day, Sensitization and Cleanliness of the Cabezo Gordo, a place of great biotic, landscape and cultural interest, in which the archaeological site of the "Sima de las Palomas", important site of the Neanderthal Man and his Mousterian paleolithic industry about 50,000 years ago.
Raising awareness of the importance of Cabezo Gordo for the municipality of Torre Pacheco and the Campo de Cartagena region is one of the objectives of this activity;
as well as, showing the biotic, landscape, paleontological and cultural values ​​to the population, especially to children and young people;
besides raising awareness about the selective collection and recycling of waste;
clean the residues that are contaminating the place;
and encourage participation, associationism and environmental volunteering;
are the objectives set when organizing these days.
The scheduled activities begin at 10 o'clock in the morning, with the distribution of materials and explanation by the organization of the guidelines to follow, at 11:30 a lunch stop will be made, and then children over 8 years old , they can participate in the activity Laser Tag (electronic paintball without painting).
In addition, there will be inflatable and recycling workshops, and for lovers of photography the contest "I take care of the Cabezo Gordo".
