The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León accompanied by the Councilor for Services and Public Roads, Mari Carmen Guillén and the Tourism Techniques Cristina Aranda and Irene Pedreño, presented in the morning today what will be the 16th Conference on Information, Awareness and Cleaning of the Cabezo Gordo in Torre Pacheco.

Raising awareness of the importance of Cabezo Gordo for the municipality of Torre Pacheco and the Campo de Cartagena region is one of the objectives of this activity;

as well as, showing the biotic, landscape, paleontological and cultural values ​​to the population, especially to children and young people;

besides raising awareness about the selective collection and recycling of waste;

clean the residues that are contaminating the place;

and encourage participation, associationism and environmental volunteering;

are the objectives we set when organizing these days.

The scheduled activities begin at 10 o'clock in the morning, with the organization, distribution of materials and explanation by the organization of the guidelines to follow, at 11:30 a stop will be made for lunch, and after 12 o'clock and until 2 pm, the youngest can participate in the Laser Tag activity (electronic paintball without painting), and in the recycling workshop, in addition to enjoying inflatables.

León thanked the collaborating companies, STV and El Barranquillo for their collaboration in the development of the activity, as well as inviting neighbors to participate next Sunday in the Information, Sensitization and Cleanup Day of Cabezo Gordo.
