Citizens today demanded that the Ministry of Education "act immediately and undertake the air conditioning of the Nuestra Señora del Rosario school in Torre Pacheco."
This was stated by the regional deputy Juan José Molina, who has visited with the local spokesman, Ruben Tardido, both this center and the IES Gerardo Molina to know their situation and the claims of those responsible.
"This school is another example of a unique design building, not in vain that the signature is Martin Lejárraga, but it is not functional despite all its architectural awards," Molina said: "Being mainly built with glass, as of March the temperatures inside the classrooms are incompatible with the teaching activity, since Education did not foresee its air conditioning at its start-up in 2010, especially in the Primary nine, where the students have suffered from lipotimias to pains of head ".
Molina, who met with representatives of the AMPA and the director of the center, has demanded that Education "immediately undertakes the air conditioning of the classrooms, for which it has had 11 million in the last two regional budgets thanks to Citizens".
The deputy criticized that the only solution provided by the council was to advance the departure time one hour in June, "a mere patch instead of undertaking reforms and improvements in depth.
They had the necessary financing, if they have not done it it is only due to bad management. "
On the IES Gerardo Molina, where more than 700 students of Torre Pacheco and the whole region carry out studies of Vocational Training in the branches of Administration, Commerce, Electricity, Automotive and Agrarian, Molina has confirmed the "saturation of the center, which is already limit of its possibilities, and that prevents that the formative supply is extended with studies of Hospitality and Tourism or Electromechanical of Agricultural Machinery ".
This extension of facilities that Ciudadanos will promote could be made by taking advantage of a building attached to the center, now abandoned.
"The expansion of the center and its training offer would be a boost for Torre Pacheco and its entire region, as they are highly demanded modules that match the activity and potential of the area," said Juan José Molina.
