From 10 o'clock in the morning, at the Torre Pacheco Day Center, in the Plaza Mayor Pedro Jiménez and live from Radio Torre-Pacheco, 87.7 FM, yesterday the traditional Solidarity Radio Marathon was held, in order to to get food, money and donations for Cáritas from the municipality of Torre-Pacheco.
Live radio, in a day with very special speakers, as well as representatives of Cultural, Musical, Sports Associations, Educational Centers and members of the Municipal Corporation requested the collaboration of the neighbors.
Throughout the day there have been many associations, companies, individuals, and educational centers that have brought food, which include the great work of volunteers, in the reception and organization of donations.
Intense day that was closed at 10 o'clock at night by the mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, the Vicar of Area, David Robles, the director of Cáritas Torre-Pacheco, José García, the director of the local Radio, Teodoro Fructuoso, as well as by members of the municipal corporation, presidents of collectives, neighbors and volunteers who have celebrated that one more year they surpass the expectations, collecting approximately 8,000 kilos of food and more than 4,000 euros.
