Coinciding with the inauguration of the Municipal Bethlehem, the awards ceremony of the 1st Nativity Scene Contest was organized, organized by the Concejalía de Festejos, of the Torre Pacheco City Council.
The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by the Vicar of Area, David Robles, and the councilman of Celebrations, Yolanda Castaño, proceeded to the delivery of prizes to the winning nativity scenes in the First Belenes Contest, among a total of 6 participants.
The Mayor thanked and valued the great work done by the participating families and highlighted the enhancement of traditions in the municipality.
The Bethlehem of Francisco Ros Ferrer, won the first prize, for its creativity and spectacularity, for the use of craft materials, its industriousness, the inclusion of several biblical passages and their presentation.
The second prize went to the Gracia López family, standing out for its originality in the materials used, highlighting the plasticine, the successful inclusion of several biblical passages and the intergenerational transmission of the Native American customs.
The Bethlehem of Clara Fernandez, received the third prize, highlighting its constructive coordination and having used the appropriate scales between figures and buildings, as well as its creativity to include the typical landscaping of the region.
The winners were presented with Christmas lots valued at 150, 100 and 50 euros respectively.
