On January 30, the "Day of Peace" is celebrated, coinciding with the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, pacifist leader who defended and promoted nonviolence and peaceful resistance against injustice;

and the educational centers carry out activities to commemorate a culture of nonviolence and peace.

The Day of Peace for its general theme of nonviolence, conflict resolution and coexistence, works at all educational levels, from Early Childhood Education to High School.

The students of the Children's School Colorines de Torre Pacheco, one more year, have celebrated this day, with workshops, games, activities, and with the motto, "PEACE BEGINS WITH A SMILE".
