The Councilor of Celebrations, Yolanda Castaño has presented the poster and the program of events of Carnival 2019, accompanied by Juan José Vera, author of the poster announcer.
The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and members of the Municipal Corporation attended the presentation that took place at the Espacio Joven in Torre Pacheco.
For the third consecutive year and after the success of past editions, Torre Pacheco is preparing to enjoy the Carnival, with news and a greater number of acts in this edition.
Saturday, March 9;
In the Performing Arts Center of Torre Pacheco, Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma will be chosen, an original competition between the Dance Schools of the municipality of Torre Pacheco.
On Saturday the 16th, in the morning in the Youth Space a children's version of the Battle of Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma will be celebrated;
a children's party for the whole family.
The III Contest-Parade of Carnival of Torre Pacheco, will take place on March 16 starting at 18.00, and parading more than 40 comparsas, from all corners of the region, of which seven are local;
Comparsas that will fill, for the third consecutive year, the streets of the town, of fantasy, music, light, color, costumes and a lot of rhythm.
The Councilor of Celebrations wanted to thank the dozens of troupes for their participation, but for organizational reasons have had to be out of the parade, showing their admiration for the work they do, and hoping to have their participation next year.
In this edition, it is intended to encourage and value the work of the comparsas of the municipality of Torre Pacheco, so there will be a first prize for the best Local Comparsa and a first prize for the best Foreign Comparsa, worth 1,000 euros, both first prizes , and whose delivery will be made at the end of the parade in the Espacio Joven of Torre Pacheco, with a Carnival Party for all the neighbors and visitors who want to continue enjoying the Fiesta.
On Sunday, March 17 at 6:00 p.m., we will be able to enjoy the I Chirigotas Contest of Torre Pacheco, which will be held at CAES, and will feature performances by Los Singuangos, Las Chochonis and Los Robinsones de la Isla.
With this programming we want to set the Carnival in Torre Pacheco, and increase the success of the last two years, commented the Councilor of Celebrations.
The poster made by Juan José Vera is based on the aesthetics of Art Deco.
One of the main characteristics of this style, according to its author, is the use of defined lines, clear contours and elegant and symmetrical forms, both in the image and in the typography used.
The colors are striking, as it tries to give a sense of joy and vivacity that helps to represent the spirit of the carnival.
Likewise, the girl has been given prominence by placing her in the front in front of several buildings typical of the town, which help to represent the origin of the carnivals, pointed out Juan José Vera.
To finish, Yolanda Castaño has invited all the neighbors and visitors to enjoy the Carnival of Torre Pacheco.
