They were surprised at a control when they transported a lot of irrigation hose
They have recovered thousands of meters of irrigation hose that have already been returned to their owner
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'Agbe', framed in the 'Plan against the agricultural and livestock removals', which has been settled with the investigation of three people dedicated to the theft of irrigation hose for subsequent marketing in waste management centers.
Last February, while the Citizen Security Unit of the Benemérita was in the municipality of Torre Pacheco carrying out a preventive control, it detected that the driver of a van was carrying out maneuvers that generated certain suspicions, for which the Civil Guards initiated the protocol provided for these cases.
After identifying the driver, the civil guards found that he did not have a driver's license, as well as that he had never obtained it, so they proceeded to arrest him.
Subsequently, the van was inspected and inside it was found a large number of rolls of irrigation hose, which, since they can not prove their legal origin or ownership, were intervened.
Given this circumstance, the Civil Guards of the Citizen Security Unit coordinated with the ROCA Team (against thefts in the field) of Torre Pacheco so that they could take charge of the effects intervened and open the corresponding investigation.
The civil guards of the ROCA Team, after making the first inquiries, were able to verify that the effects had been taken from an agricultural farm in the municipality of San Javier, so that once their legitimate owner was located and the corresponding complaint was presented, they were given the material intervened.
In addition to the driver, the Civil Guard has investigated the other two occupants of the van, who have been instructed diligences as alleged perpetrators of theft of agricultural exploitation.
From the research carried out it is clear that those now investigated, allegedly, had stolen the hose rolls in order to market them as plastic waste in recycling centers.
The investigated, the recovered effects and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction of San Javier (Murcia).
