The neighbors of Torre Pacheco, have wanted to show their support today March 8, International Women's Day, in an event organized by the Department of Equality of the City of Torre Pacheco, in the Plaza Mayor Pedro Jiménez de Torre Pacheco.
Veronica Martinez, Councilor for Equality has been in charge of reading the institutional manifesto, before dozens of residents of the municipality.
An invitation to reflect on the progress made in terms of gender equality and an opportunity to focus action and determine where we want to go.
Martinez, wanted to claim, once again, that "this society will only advance if we have the same rights, freedoms and opportunities, and you can only achieve real equality, when in the world, women, we are treated with social justice , equity and equal opportunities ".
As Clara Campoamor said: "Freedom is learned by exercising it".
