From April 3 to 6, the Region hosts the first Agrolympics championship of agricultural and food competition held in Spain.
A championship consisting of 20 tests and students from 20 vocational training centers both national and European agricultural family and industry.
An event organized by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, through its Service of Training and Technology Transfer, to be held at the Palace of Fairs and Exhibitions of the Region of Murcia (IFEPA) in Torre Pacheco.
From among all the participants, the national team that will represent Spain in the International Agrolympics will be selected, which will take place in Poland next June.
The tests to be carried out consist of setting up an irrigation system, carrying out grafting, packing and estimating weight in fruits and vegetables, recognition of raw materials in animal rations, sausage and manual tying of sausages, recognition of Monastrell wine aromas and tasting of cheeses among other tests.
In addition, the participants must have knowledge of tractor and trailer handling, maintenance of machinery, identification of birds by their song, etc.
