This morning, in the City Council of Torre Pacheco, the 11th Trophy Meeting and Trovera Show was presented on Sunday, April 7 in Dolores de Pacheco.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, the Councilor for Culture, Raúl Lledó, as well as members of the Municipal Corporation and the president of the Rondalla Virgen de los Dolores, José García "El Manchego".
A day in which some of the best troupes of the trovo of the Region of Murcia participate, among which is the Rondalla Virgen de los Dolores, founded in 1996, and which currently has more than 30 members, who sing, they dance and interpret with their instruments a wide popular repertoire rescued many times from the local folk tradition, and whose purpose is to revitalize and transmit the music and popular songs of our region, to the new generations.
In addition to the Rondalla Virgen de los Dolores, will participate in this Meeting, the Ronda de Motilleja, Albacete, being one of the few traditional rounds of La Mancha that keeps alive the generational cultural transmission, both in the repertoire and in the ways of interpreting, plays and sing the same.
La Cuadrilla de Huebras, by Nerpio, Albacete, founded in 1980, will participate in the Trovera Show with a varied repertoire, consisting of malagueñas, jotas, pardicas, mazurkas, waltz, foxtrot, carols and aguilandos.
The gang of Torreagüera, Murcia, formed in 1928, finding in its repertoire, the two types of dance that form the traditional folklore of the peninsular southeast such as the loose dance, jotas, malagueñas or seguidillas, and the baile caught, as pasodobles , waltz and mazurkas.
The sample Trovera, will have Cardoso I and Cardoso II;
Father and son, represent two generations of troubadours and great musicians of the Murcian folklore.
They are together with the host Rondalla, founders of the Encounter of Dolores de Pacheco, which have not been missing in any edition.
The child of Archena, this young troubadour, debuted on stage in the sixth edition of the Encuentro de Cuadrillas de Dolores de Pacheco.
El Baranda, another great troubadour, which occupies a preferential place in the world of trovo and Andrés Avellaneda, teacher of traditional music, will also be in Dolores de Pacheco, on Sunday, April 7.
Accompanying the guitar, Tomás García and Antonio Micol, great professionals, who are part of several folkloric groups and trovera associations.
The Day will begin at 9.30 with the meeting of gangs and chocolate in the Plaza de la Iglesia, followed by a mass sung by the gangs, and then perform the usual parade to the Paseo de los Troveros and Folklore in the Park of the Pine trees.
The performance of cuadrillas and shows trovera, will begin at eleven thirty in the morning, and finally there will be a fellowship meal.
Once again, the bars and restaurants of the town have prepared attractive, accessible menus for residents and visitors who come to Dolores to enjoy the Encuentro de Cuadrillas and Muestra Trovera.
Torre Pacheco City Council collaborates with this activity, and works to maintain the great trovera tradition, hallmark of our area.
