On Sunday, the 21st and Monday, the 22nd, Easter Monday, the great day of the Virgen del Pasico, the traditional Fiesta de El Pasico is celebrated in Torre Pacheco, in the place that bears his name and where the Hermitage with the Virgin is located of the Pasico.

It is a rustic construction whose interior is a French alabaster stone located in the trunk of an almond tree on which is engraved an image of La Piedad, known among the Pachequeros as the Virgen del Pasico.

This Virgin enjoys great devotion among the inhabitants of the area who are in the habit of offering her carnations.

The Councilor of Celebrations, Yolanda Castaño, the pedic of Hortichela, Mª José López, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation, and hoteliers of the municipality, have informed the program of activities, of the traditional Fiesta de El Pasico.

This festivity will begin in the early hours of Sunday, with the launch of the Windmill and a guided tour, Pilgrimage, exhibition of artisans, and music, during a day where there will be plenty of children's attractions.

In addition, a gastronomic tent will be installed, run by businessmen and innkeepers of the municipality, with rich and varied tapas at popular prices.

On Monday, April 22, will continue with the implementation of the windmill and guided tours, prior registration in murciaturistica.es, at 11.00 a Mass will be held in honor of the Virgin of Pasico, as well as the traditional chocolate with monas, and as it could not miss the Musical Group Our Mrs. of the Pasico will offer us a magnificent concert.

Radio Torre Pacheco, will broadcast a special Fiesta del Pasico program that can be heard live on 87.7 FM.

The youngest children have a varied program of activities, they can hold a workshop "From the Mill to the Plate", thanks to the collaboration of the Association of Pensioners and Retirees Virgen del Rosario de Torre Pacheco;

In addition, there will be activities for children and a "Think with the Lungs" recycling workshop, with the collaboration of ECOEMBES and STV Gestión.

But undoubtedly the hallmark of this Fiesta is the multitudinous snack, which brings together hundreds of neighbors and visitors in the area of ​​El Pasico, and that invites to convivencia and fun.
